March 2, 2008
Dear Parents,
March is here, which means spring is truly on it’s way to Wisconsin! This month will be another busy one for our 2nd through 5th graders! Next week we will wrap up our Garden of Gethsemane workshops, then we’ll learn about the real treasures of Easter, and then we begin a new rotation cycle. During the next rotation, your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader will rotate between four workshops that will help them learn and explore the story of the Good Samaritan. Children will learn that Jesus teaches us to love God, and other people. When we follow Jesus’ teachings, we show God’s love to other people, whether they live close to us or far away. The Bible reference for this lesson is Luke 10: 25-37. Please remind your child to bring their Bible to class each week, if possible. Also, I encourage you to talk with your child about what they did in class each week. What did your child like or dislike about the activity they did? What did they learn from class?
The following is a schedule of where your child should go during the rest of this rotation:
March 2nd
Grade 2 – Art (rm 311) March 16th
Grade 3 – Games (gym) Grade 2 – Asbury Lounge

Important reminders: Students will be receiving palm branches in 9am church on Palm Sunday (3/16/08). They will then process down the church isles and to Sunday school with them. There will be NO SUNDAY SCHOOL on Easter Sunday (3/23/08). Please join us in our worship services that morning! Finally, if your family has been participating in the Heifer International “Fill the Ark” campaign, please remember that collection of the filled arks will begin on March 16th, and must be completed by March 30th!
As always, if you would like to learn more about our fabulous Sunday school programs, or you have any questions or concerns about something in this letter, I would be happy to hear from you! I’m looking forward to continuing our learning and growing together.
Many Blessings,
